Here is a way to “beat the system” - kind of… AT&T currently offers the 8gb without a contract for $599, and the 16gb for $699. Here is a way to get it a little bit cheaper and get a free month of service out of the deal.

If you are a new at&t customer you can get the 8gb with a 2 year contract for $199, and a 16gb for $299 with a 2 year contract.  The activation fee is $35, taxes are $18-24, and the () is $175. So if you are a new AT&T customer, here is what you do to save some cash:

Get the 8gb with a 2 year contract, pay the activation, taxes, and for your first month of service, then cancel your service after the first month. You must cancel AFTER the first month since your contract will state that you must keep service for at least 30 days or else you are required to return the phone. Then look on google for ways to your . Once start using your sim from another provider in your new . You will save at least $100 over the “” . 

Even if you buy the “” , you will still have to it to use it on another network… So why on earth would anyone pay for a “” the conventional way?
